Hi Miss Florence, It's a louse! Those creepy creatures which bother us on our heads(if we have). I think that you put this post because today they gave us a note in which it talked about the lice and that we had to revise ourselves. Luckily, I have short hair so I hve less danger of having them. Some information about the lice is: Most lice are scavengers, feeding on skin and other debris found on the host's body, but some species feed on sebaceous secretions and blood. A qustion about them is: How is it that they have sons, they put eggs on your head after chewing your head's blood? Is the blood the element for them to have eggs as mosquitos? Hope you know, See you,

Hello Miss Florence I think you put this because people are going to come to school to look if we have lies. You told us in class that you where going to put photos of them to see how digusting they were. Bye Marina 6b
Hi Miss Florence! It is a louse!!! They are creepy and disgusting. They live in your head like little creatures. It lives in your head an it makes you want to scratch your head. If we go to the swimming pool with louses the people that get in too will have them to. Because they fall out of your head and they expand in the water so the one that gets close to that "zone" they get that little louses. Their eggs don't make us scratch our heads but sooner or later they are not more eggs and they are louses. Girls have a lot of hear so we have a bigger percentage of getting louses Something very intresting is that Bob Marley died becuase he had a lot of them so there are some species of louses that can kill you. I think that you placed this post on the blog because at school we have swimming so we need to take all this louses out of our heads to go to the swimming pool. The other day, on Friday they gave us a note for swimming because of them. Our parents or us ourselves have to see if we have louses and take them out of our heads and then our parents have to sign a paper. Kisses Caro B.
Hello miss Florence, I think this is a lice or nits because of its colour. I dont have a lot but when you have them in my head they bother a lot!. I think you posted this post because we have to be ware of them and pass the comb. The characteristic symptoms are:
A tingling sensation of something moving in the hair. Itching, caused by an allergic reaction to stings. Irritability. Injuries to the scalp caused by scratching. These lesions can become infected. Lice are usually housed in the scalp, behind the ears and near the neckline at the back of the neck. Head lice hold onto hair with hook-like claws they have on the end of the leg. Head lice are rarely found in other parts of the body, eyelashes or eyebrows. There are three forms of lice: the nit, the nymph and adult.
Nit: Nits are lice eggs head. Are hard to find and often are confused with dandruff or droplets of hair spray. Nits are firmly attached to the hair root. They have an oval configuration, generally, its color is yellow to white. Nits require a week to become lice. Nymph: The nit hatches and becomes a little louse called a nymph. It looks like an adult head louse, but is smaller. Nymphs mature into adults in about 7 days after incubation. To survive, the nymph must feed on the blood of the person. Adult: The adult louse is about the size of a seed sesame, Has six legs and its color is brown to gray. In people with dark hair, the adult louse looks darker. Females lay nits and they are usually larger than males. Adult lice can live up to 30 days in a person's head. To survive, adult lice need to feed on blood. If the louse falls off the person usually dies in less than two days. Happy Weekend! Ana (6a) Olivos
