This episode of Mythbusters is great, they are on the water and there, the wooden boat is floating thanks to uphthrust, because if there woulddn't be upthrust, the boat wouldn't float, and whales wouldn't float because they can't with their 100 or 200 tonnes!

I watch mythbusters in my house because they do such funny things such as exploting cars and doing fantastic things, but I didnt waath this episoid. Its a good one. this example shows how upthrust works because the wooden boat pooshes the water and does not let the water come in. But when you add more wheit the boat does not float and sinkes.

The force of BUOYANCY is very useful for the ones who love to investigate about the water. The myth-busters program is about a guy who is with a wooden boat and the boat is a bit heave and because of the force of Upthrust or Buoyancy the boat could stay in the surface. That why I think ships that are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO heavy can float on water.

In this video, the Mythbusters are using a boat like a submarine. The boat floats thanks to bouyance, if bouyance didn´t exist the boat would not float. the less amount of air that changes its size the bouyance is also going to change. Great video. See you in class!!!!

IT WAS GREAT, i remember I saw it when i was small but i did´t understand anything. you can see when the boat sinks is because like it has water in it and round it that they work like magnets and try to join and if a man who weights 100 kg and gets in that boat it doesn´t sink but AProximately 100 kg of water in the boat might make it sink. I now that it is liters but, i dont know how to calculate 100kg in liters, sory. It was fun anyway to see it.

Although I couldn't understand a lot I understood a bit, here it is:
Bouyancy is the force that pulls the objects in water upthrust, depending in the material of the object. If you place a piece of metal it would sink, but if you place a boat with five pirates the boat would float. It is amazing, I didn't know this force existed. But if you pour lots of buckets full of water, and cover the entire boat, it sunks. The boat has his shape to help water pass throw the sides and do not sink the boat. The video was great, I didn't know the Mythbusters.

In this episode you can see a very clear example about upthrust. The boat made out of wood could float on water thanks to upthrust.
I learnt in scince and explored in the web to clear my dought, that the material named wood can float on water because it is less dense (lighter) than the water.

I didn't say Mythbusters. I think I should. This video is completly true, and I have pruved it. When I was smaller I had a boat like that one but smaller for my pool. And I played with my brothers that the boat (turned) was a submarine and the one who has inside had to look for the other ones in the pool.

Upthrast helped the boat float and support the weight of the mytgbuster. As the men put 45 bukets of water they could prove that the boat would sink because of Buoyancy. This works because if the boat underneeth has water and it to has water on top the boat would sink because the boat has two liquids surrounding it and the two are of the same material so thats how Buoyancy works.

It is gorgeous Mythbusters videos because they explain everything very detail and clearly so you can understand it perfectly. I understud that the boat could float because of Upthrust and That water displacement keeps up the boat with the same weight. Then that they pout some bucets of water inside and then it sinked.

The want to see if it is a myth that an upturned roeboat can be used as a submarine.
When the roeboat has too much h2o in it, it sinks.
But when it is upturned it doesnt sink.Boats dont have problem in keeping above water whiles they dont have to much h2o.
When the boat sinks it means that the buoyency was beaten.
When you go deeper the smaller the water turns.

This episode if MythBusters made me remember of when we were studying in class, and the examples you went giving us. I think that this video was very udeful to understand basically how upthrust works. Upthrust is the force that keeps something at the surface of the water. I love when in videos they give you clear examples to make you understand what you are talking about, very common in science! So im very pleased with the example of this video: A wooden boat being pulled up by the force of upthrust.

I learned a lot with this wonderful video. It taught knew things and examples, but sometimes it reflected what "Upthrust or Bouyancy 1" said.
The boat doesn´t sink because there is a force that pushes upwards, in this case upthrust or bouyancy. When you throw water on the boat it sinks because interrupt the force.

This episode of Mythbusters explains that buoyancy is the upward force of a liquid against an object. It is interesting that if the buoyancy that is against the boat is equal to the weight of the water displaced by the boat and the boat was designed to displace enough water to support 5 people.

Something I learnt is that, bouyancy is the force that pulls the objects in water upthrust,but depending in the material of the object. If you place a piece of metal it would sink, but if you place a boat with five people in it, the boat would float.

I learnt that the boyency of a boat is determined about how much water it desplais or pushes out of his wet. Boyency is the upward force produced by liquid in this case water on an object. The weight inside the diggie (boat) is equal to the force of the buoyancy pushing upwards. It depends how deep you are.
