I didnt know that if tou put something that is the same weight it ways more in water. I think its because different material has a different amount of upthrust.

Woww i learnt a lot she put some masess of different sizes but with the same weight she put those objects on scale balance and add some water and it seem that one of that masess had change but it didnt weight is the force of gravety on an object a force of 10 newtons going ddown on the mass but on the water there is another force acting too!

I watched the video, it was very intresting. A blond eoman expert talked about 2 different shaped objects but with the same weight. She put them on a two-pan balance, then she put one inside water and the other one outside the water. The one under water, it´s pan went down, but the weight hadn´t changed.
She explained that the wight of an object doesn´t change though it is in air or in water. She said that what was going on was that wight is the force of gravity on an object, a force of 10 newtons. But in water it was with a pull of 10 newtons downwards to the center of earth and then it had upthrust in the opposite direction.

This was great, to see that the mass is the same in two different places but in the water it goes down. According to what it said on the folder of upthrust, it is what makes a piece of wood stay floating in the water, such as the question in the class which says why does a boat, if it's so heavy, can float on the water.

Wow!!, the mases are of the same weight until the girl put water at the sides of the balance where they are comprovation that there are of the same weight even dough one is bigger than the another one,and the gravity with 10 newtons more pulls down one of the mases, and the other won stays ap words because of the force called upthrust!

The video was great!!! It was clear but I couldn’t understand it very well because I don’t understand basically what up thrust does. The first part about the balance that the number changed that I couldn’t understand. And in the second part, if the two stones have the same mass and the both are in the water why is that only one goes to the bottom. It’s like it hasn’t any sence

When you put two masses of the same weight in a balance they are in the same height becuause their weight is the same.But when they put water and one was lower in height because the water was not filled up to the top so as water weighs a lot the one that was absolutely under water was a the bottom of the balance.
Weight is the force of gravity on an object, a force of 10 newtons pulling down on a 1kg. mass. Under water there is another force pulling too, the water pushes up with the 1kg. mass, this is a force called upthrust.

The video was very interesting. First it surprised me that both objects weight the same, and then, than one sank and the other one no. The one that didn´t sank it was because the newtons were pulling to the centre of the earth at 10 newtons per Kilogram, but a force called Upthrust push it upwards with more force than the force that pulled downwards.

It looked impossible how can a mass of smaller size would weight more than a bigger mass in water, It is because newton is how many force pulls down an object by gravity,That force is the same in water than in air but as one is in water and water has another force called uphtrust that goes against gravity so the uphtrust makes the newtons lighter.
